Venom

My choice of 'venomous organisms' as a creative theme stems from a deep-seated interest in ecological and evolutionary processes. Under the long-term influence of natural selecion. toxins nave emerded as a vital strateav tor man species to ennance survival and competive advantade. Ine onvsical structures associated with venom-such as the fangs and hoods of Egyptian cobras, the stingers and pedipalps of North African scorpions, the dermal toxic glands of poison dart frogs, and the mechanisms by which Amanita muscaria produces neuroactive compounds- -showcase the exquisite and complex adaptations inherent in the evolution of life. However, when these nazardous creatures intersect with numan society, their signiticance transcends mere biology. Humanity nas transmuted its tear, awe, and curiosity surrounding toxicity into rich mythologies, religions, and cultural symbols: from the use of Amanita muscaria in shamanic rituals and poison dart frogs in South American tribal hunting, to the cobra worship and scorpion goddess cults of ancient Egypt. These organisms exist not only as survival instruments within the natural world, but also as profound symbolic vehicles within human civilization.

PERCEPTUAL GLITCH

My research trajectory began in high school biology and chemistry laboratories. For a long time, 1 was almost obsessively fascinated by the mechanisms of venom and toxins. From micro-doses of alkaloids beneath the skin of poison dart frogs, to hemotoxic proteins in viper venom that destroy blood coagulation, to how cytotoxins instantly lyse cell membranes under a microscope sketched hundreds of molecular diagrams, cellular rupture pathways, and toxic diffusion gradients.

In those late-night lab journals, venom was never just a lethal weapon forged by biological evolution; it felt like a hyper-efficient "structural deconstructor." Without altering the total amount of matter, a minuscule dose could utterly dismantle a highly ordered biological system.

Specimens in the Peripheral Vision: Al Toxicity and Humanistic Curation

Human sight directness often breeds rational blindness. Beyond the center of technological discourse obsessed with absolute control, we cast our gaze upon the Peripheral Vision-the data residues, algorithmic biases, and dark currents of the latent space abandoned by primary models. It is precisely within these marginal zones of perception that ancient mythical chimeras and modern "digital toxins" achieve a covert transmutation.

The End

"When algorithms cease to merely simulate nature and begin rewriting the genetic syntax of life-toxicity transforms from a lethal physical wound into an indispensable medium for a new cognitive evolution.

We erect these cabinets and laboratories not to pass judgment upon the beasts, but to remap the fragile boundaries of human reason and self-domesticationamidst the ruins cast by data and synthetic light."
